The Queen of dance..

"The Queen of dance", or so they called her, was known by the name of
Lafontaine. She was a beautiful girl and her debut was in Paris in 1681.

Here's an image of another beautiful girl from the Ct. Dance School who
also makes the art form of ballet look effortless.
This image is entitled "Opal light"
and was created to appear as if she was apart of the sundial.

  1. Ballet is so magical.

re comment; it appears to be layered afterwards to the image .. seems to be material of some sort.

Interesting question, thought the same thing when I first saw it.

  2. Yes..it is magical to me too. Just the way they position their bodies!
The more I watch them the more I feel what they do upon hearing the music.

and thank you for answering my question ..I too thought it might be layered.

  9. Yes thank you for your comment. This image hangs in my hallway. I love the circle. It's powerful yet very peaceful to the eye.

I choose to overlay the girl with a sundial, she became apart of the clock as I believe when you're really immersed in your craft, time stands still.

I know it does for me when I'm drawing or painting.
    Hope you enjoyed your weekend.

    Elizabeth
